Since the death of her husband, Anne Dunne and her three children have struggled in every way. In a last ditch effort to save the family, Anne plans an elaborate sailing vacation to bring everyone together once again. But only an hour out of port, everything is going wrong. The teenage daughter, Carrie, is planning to drown herself. The teenage son, Mark, is high on drugs and ten-year-old Ernie is nearly catatonic. This is the worst vacation ever. Anne manages to pull things together bit by bit, but just as they begin feeling like a family again, something catastrophic happens. Survival may be the least of their concerns. Written with the blistering pace and shocking twists that only James Patterson can master, SAIL takes "Lost" and "Survivor" to a new level of terror.

Customer Rating: Summary: james patterson SAIL Comment: I really enjoyed this book.I placed my order online and it was here when promised.
Customer Rating: Summary: The Patterson name must be a stamp Comment: James Patterson has written some memorable thrillers but Sail seems to be written by a ghost writer who is new (or tired) of the genre and pushed to this book on the masses using the Patterson label. Don't get me wrong, this is a quick and easy read, but the characters never seem to grasp the readers interest. The scene is set when the dad is killed in a sailing accident and the family tumbles into chaos. The mother is a character that should have been written out of the story. The dialog seems to date back to the Twenties and the characters are all flat. Does this sound like the Patterson we know? I've given it three stars but could easily understand someone giving it one star - what I can't understand is someone giving it five stars. Unless you just have to read everything Patterson...I'd say skip it and read "Sirens" by Tin Geo: Sirens: A Novel A novel I devoured in two days.
Customer Rating: Summary: Best book I've ever read Comment: Got this book in the mail yesterday...finished it today. This is the fastest I've ever read any book. From start to finish the story is packed full of action going from one twist to another making it extremely difficult to put it down.
Customer Rating: Summary: James Patterson Sail Comment: James Patterson -- what can I say. He is a wonderful writer. Without a doubt, thoroughly entertaining. I liked all of his books -- not so much Daniel X. I will read all of his books.
Customer Rating: Summary: WOW!!! Comment: All I want to say is "spectacular" kept me on the edge of my coach : ) I recommend this book to people who hate to read because this will change thier mind forever! Please read this book!!!!!
