Summary: Pleased with the product
Comment: I had the original Emjoi for many years and loved it. This model is great too, and the extra blade for long hairs is a plus that the other did not have. But having large hands, this sometimes is tricky to hold, and because the cord comes out from the side, instead of the bottom like the original, it gets awkward at times handling. But I still think Emjoi makes an excellent product.
I think when this goes bad after many years of use, I'll think which I will purchase next, this one or the one closes to the original. If I find I am using the long hair blade, then I would replace with the same, and if not using the long hair blade, I would replace with one similar to the original.
So over all, I am pleased with the product.

Summary: So quick and easy
Comment: Purchased this as a gift for my Mother, but she is raving about it! Her last epilator was a different brand, and this performs much better than that one. It grabs more hairs the first time you pass over them and pulls them out more effectively. It also has a bigger surface area, so its much quicker than her old one! She also had an original single barreled emjoy in the past, and this double barreled one is much better.

Comment: I have used many brands. I love this product because it does not hurt and it grabs all of the hairs. With the past epilators I used I would have to go over the same spot many times and would still have hairs left. With this product one pass and all of the hairs are gone. I can't remember when my legs were last this smooth. Great product!!!

Comment: really like this product, does a large are or skin at one time and is powerful. this is my third optima and maybe my sixth epilator (all from emjoi). they only last 2-3 years but that is all i use on my legs (no shaving). i love that even when the hair starts to grow in it is not as prickly as with shaving. works great on the top of my feet too for sandals!

Summary: Excellent epilator
Comment: I have been using the Emjoi Light Caress for the past year. I like the Emjoi Light Caress, however I was getting frustrated with the amount of time it took to do both legs, bikini, underarms and arms.
I decided to try the Emjoi Optima since it has the dual opposed heads. I am very glad I did try it. It got virtually all of the hair (the Light Caress frequently misses hairs) and cut the time by about 1/3, which is wonderful. It also didn't cause as much discomfort to the skin of my underarms as the Light Caress did, which was also nice.
I also like that you can remove the head for easier cleaning. I haven't tried the razor part yet, but am sure I will like it.
The only down side to this product is the odd shape and small size. It is more difficult to hold because of it's shape and size. However given my past experience, I'm more than willing to overlook the shape and size issue.
