Customer Rating: Summary: Not worth it Comment: I bought this product because I didn't like the Crest Whitestrips, and was hoping for a faster whitening method. At first I didn't use much of the gel, hoping to avoid any sensitivity. That whitened my teeth about one shade, if that, though at least I wasn't in pain. I tried it again about three weeks later because the whitening had already faded. This time I used the amount of gel recommended by the instructions. My teeth did not look any different afterwards, and I experienced some sensitivity. About eight hours later I had painful irritation on my gums. A lot of the gel in the trays gets pushed up out of the trays and onto your gums when you put them on, and if you don't wipe it off it can irritate your gums. Although the pain and sensitivity was minimal, especially compared to Crest Whitestrips, so was the whitening. I have only minimal coffee stains on my teeth and it couldn't remove those. I wouldn't recommend this product; save your money for something that works better. Customer Rating: Summary: No Pain... it doesn't work Comment: So, I order this kit. Based on the other reviews, I was either expecting my mouth to be burned off or to have a great set of white chomppers. So the day they arrived came (I'm in Iraq by the way), and the whole day I was pumping myself up for what I considered the inevetible agony I was going to go through, as discussed by many people on here.
Got back to my room and got ready for battle. Taking the advice of some on here, I only used half a vile on the top and bottom trays, want to wean myself onto the pain.... So... I put the trays in my mouth. Closed my eyes and waited for the pain to start seering through my body and the foul taste of the gel (also reported) to make me throw up. I also had a drool rag ready to go because it was also stated you would droll on yourself....... So I waited... and waited...
And waited. I then realized I wasn't feeling a thing! I was kinda dissapointed in a way, but I figured, hey, great, lets get it on! So, after cooling the other viles of gel (they had liquified due to the heat) back into a gel state, I set off to give me some perally whites! I used a whole vile in the top and bottom tray and again, braced myself. And again, NOTHING happened. There wansn't even a tingling sensation. It didn't taste bad either, nor did I drool. Not at all. I have no idea what those people were doing, but everyone is different.
I went through 4.5 iterations for 20 minutes, with the 10 minute break in between. The only semi-uncomfort, was when I was washing my mouth out, the inside of your lips will feel like they are overly chapped. Not painful, just kinda icky. But that goes away right quick.
After the last bout, I slowly walked to the mirror, expecting white nasty spots all over my teeth that were mentioned here. And again... nothing. Not even a color change. At this point I am wondering if I got a bum deal, but then I remembered a few people menionted that they look like nothing is different, and then in an hour or two it comes out. So I went to sleep, thinking.. Sweet, tomorrow its on!
My alarm woke me up at 0330 as it always does, went to the mirror... and yeah.. no noticable difference. Boooo to this I said.
I give this a 2. It didn't work, but it also didn't make me pass out from the pain. I don't totally blame the product though. It did say if the gel is melted to mail it back. But being here, it coming melted is something I can't avoid and I don't have the time to mail it back. That might have done something to it, you never know. But yeah, I have some stips on the way from a friend and we'll see how thoes work.
No pain, no gain, no nothing!! If you are feeling pain consider yourself lucky. At least you know its doing something.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice Teeth, Crap Gums Comment: This product works. I didn't find it to be uncomfortable, and I liked the way it conformed to my mouth. (I just can't use white strips because they always slip off my teeth.) However, I ended up getting really painful chemical burns on my bottom gums. I'd say that if you're gonna use this, make sure to only use half a tube for the bottom tray and wipe your bottom gums clean after insertion. Customer Rating: Summary: read the reviews and tried it anyway Comment: definitely not worth the time. you spend most of the 2 hours trying not to drool all over yourself, and then you don't even get noticeable results. i just finished the process, and it didn't hurt - but I don't see any results. the good thing is you can send in to get a full refund - which I will be doing first thing 2mrrw. I rec. the Target white strips that do the job in 1 week - clear results, super cheap!
