Something about a cleaver gives a cook a sense of confidence, especially for those prep jobs that involve lots of slicing and dicing. Asian cooks use these knives particularly for meals that involve lots of stir-fry ingredients. The wide blade easily slices through large vegetables, such as eggplant, bok choy, and even comes in handy for poultry and meat. Made in Germany, each Twin Signature knife features a hand-honed, laser-sharpened blade using Henckels signature FRIODUR high-carbon, ice-hardened process for producing quality stainless steel knives. The ergonomic handle has a traditional three-rivet construction encompassing a full tang for high durability.

Summary: Cuts through meat, too!
Comment: Bought this for my mom to use and she thought it was too sharp; awesome. She cooks a lot but uses crap knives so when she came to my place and was given the choice of using a Henckels for meat and one for vegetables she said it was unnecessary and, for lack of a better word, lavish. If you don't cook often you could probably get away with buying one cleaver for use on veggies and meats. This one is lighter in weight but bigger in size compared to the meat cleaver.

Comment: The veggie cleaver was a gift for my father. He loved it! He saw how fast he could cut veggies for our meal. He was so happy. Its light and easy to use. Plus a great addition to his knife collection. He was very impressed with the knife.

Summary: good manufacture but poor blade design
Comment: This cleaver is of good quality, but the design of the blade is poor. Since the blade is curved, unlike the blade of a Chinese cleaver, it is not possible simply to chop without drawing the blade back and forth, even several times. Minching is out of the question.

Comment: Very sharp! Not much effort needed to chop boney parts of meat! I was unsure about what I was getting when I bought it but now I can assure you if you're looking for a cleaver that does the job and fits your budget, you MUST get this! Very very happy with my purchase.
