An exclusive cold process method extracts the essence from selected vanilla beans grown on the island of Madagascar. The essence is combined with vanilla bean seeds and infused into an all-natural base, creating a pure vanilla bean paste with an intense, delicious flavour that retains the full bouquet of pure vanilla. A convenient replacement for vanilla beans in any recipe, the seeds (sometimes called 'specks') and the unique paste texture give cookies, cakes, ice creams, puddings, custards, and sauces an upscale 'gourmet' look without the effort of scraping the seeds from whole vanilla beans. Vanilla bean paste's thick viscosity helps maintain the integrity of icings and frostings, ensuring they do not become too soft, while adding the visual appeal of the vanilla specks.
4 ounce/118 ml jar.
One tablespoon of vanilla paste equals one tablespoon of vanilla extract or one vanilla bean.
Ingredients: sugar, water, vanilla extract, vanilla beans, and gum tragacanth (a natural thickener).

Comment: I love using Vanilla Bean paste in everything from homemade ice cream, to my vanilla bean custard--think Creme Brulee. I also use it anywhere that I think the vanilla flavor will be recognized--even in milk shakes. Decadent!

Comment: i will never go back to extract again! this paste has been wonderful in puddings brownies blondies bars and muffins- definately worth the expense which really evens out because you arent off buying store made when this paste makes it just like them! it brings a wonderful flavor to everything i have made with it.

Comment: I have used this product before... so I ordered from Amazon to replace it. It's a great product if you want that vanilla look because the seeds are in it but you don't necessarily want to pay for vanilla beans. The taste is fantastic and I use it as a replacement for vanilla extract in anything I want to and the texture is never compromised. Highly recommended.

Comment: The flavor profile exceeds what you would get from the extract. I became a convert a few years ago after discovering it in Williams-Sonoma. Glad to see that Amazon is carrying it, although I buy much larger quantities elsewhere.
