Comment: I do have a big stove, and a big tajine dish.
This flame tamer does exactly the job it's required but as it's a little small, the handle burns at its edge at the beginning.
Nevertheless, i've been using this tamer for about 10 tajines now and the handle is not burning anymore (already too burnt!), and my tajine dish (that i bought in Morocco) is still intact so I guess this is a good tamer!

Comment: My stove has driven me crazy because I could not get it low enough to simmer. I read other reviews and decided to try this. I liked it so much, I ordered a second one. Finally the flames are tamed!

Comment: I bought this to use on my gas stove with my LeCreuset pots. I love those pots, but I do tend to use a fairly high heat and the food on the bottom burns to the bottom of the pan. I thought the diffuser would help. It does prevent burning food, but considerably slows down the cooking time (not too surprising). The wooden handle has gotten scorched from the flames - again, not too surprising - I think a different diffuser might be a better choice.
