Maltitol is an all natural Sugar Free Sweetener that makes a perfect replacement for Sugar for Diabetics or Low Carb Dieters. The body absorbs Maltitol more slowly than sugar and as a result does not cause fluctuations in blood glucose levels like Sugar does. Maltitol contains zero net carbohydrates which makes it a good substitute for baking a low carb diet. It is 90% as sweet as sugar which is not a noticeable difference to taste and unlike other Sugar substitutes Maltitol does not leave an aftertaste in the mouth. It can be used to bake cakes, candy, cookies and more without the need to modify your recipes. We have been using Maltitol in our sugar free chocolates at A Bountiful Harvest for over 2 years now and the response has been very positive, in fact most customers refuse to believe our chocolates and cakes are sugar free. Comment: Maltitol is simply amazing. Most sweeteners have a strange or bitter aftertaste. Even sweeteners like Splenda, which is advertised as having no aftertaste, do indeed have an aftertaste to many people. I have never been able to enjoy artificially sweetened products of any kind...until now! Maltitol tastes absolutely authentic and is great for baking. Highly recommended.
