You are purchasing 1 lbs of Organic Sprouting Seeds - Alfalfa. Organic Alfalfa can be sprouted and used as a basis for salads or raw sprouted soups. Use instead of lettuce on your favorite sandwich. They go well with any dressing or you can eat them as they are.

Summary: Good for Sprouting
Comment: Here in redneckville, no one carries sprouting seeds. I can buy seeds for the garden, or sprouts at the supermarket, but not these. Just finding them here gives them some merit. The seeds I received are quite fresh and productive. I've grown sprouts before that had better taste; seeds vary. For what it's worth, I have a water softener, but alfalfa seeds sprout just fine for me (softened water can kill plants because of the salt - could also account for the difference in taste).

Summary: Fresher and cheaper than grocery store sprouts
Comment: If you've never grown your own sprouts, you're missing something wonderful. Takes a few days, but the taste is incomparable and they're always fresh. Note that you don't need any fancy sprouting equipment; you can do just as well with a jar, some cheesecloth, and a rubber band.
