Customer Rating: Summary: My favorite perfume Comment: As someone who will not wear a floral scent, I've had a hard time finding the perfect perfume; that is, until I found a perfume add in Cosmo a few years ago for Brit. I couldn't find it in the states at the time, and got a bottle on a vacation, and have worn it for years. This is the only scent I've ever worn that my bosses, boy friends, and girl friends have all loved. While I very rarely meet someone else wearing it, I love it for myself, and have had clients switch over to it after smelling it on me! This has been my signature fragrance for several years now, and as someone very sensitive to fragrance I can say that this scent is far more than the sum of its parts. The citrus notes do not actually make the perfume smell citrusy; they simply lift what would otherwise be a heavy sweetness created by the heady combination of vanilla, tonka bean, almonds, amber and mahogany. (To my nose, the citrus, almond and tonka bean notes are the most dominant). The resulting fragrance is playfully sweet and cheerful. It ALWAYS lifts my mood, I can never stop sniffing my wrists where I've applied it, and I get complimented on it everytime I wear it. The other perfume that I find it most closely resembles is Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle. Other perfumes in the same "gourmand" class of fragrances would include Bulgari Omnia and Boucheron Trouble.
To my sensibilities, this is a somewhat casual fragrance, better suited to a woman 20 to 35 with a playful, mischievous spirit and a love of fashion, who doesn't take herself too seriously. One might wear the heavier eau de parfum for evening and the lighter eau de toilette to the office or school. Finally, another great thing about this perfume is that it works beautifully on top of other bath products; if your regular body wash has a citrusy or vanilla scent, this fragrance will meld with it beautifully to create a scent that is uniquely yours. Customer Rating: Summary: LOVE IT Comment: My sister introduced me to this fragrance recently and I fell in love! I've read others responses to this being a bit strong for summer a couple dozen times and, honsetly I can see what they mean but, I like it any time of the year! I love strong things, it's different than what most women wear I guess it's preference really. Most women seem to tend towards the floral side, it makes me gag! So when I find a lovely scent as this one w/o floral notes I fall in love a million times! Customer Rating: Summary: Warm amber goodness! Comment: Burberry Brit is one of my staple fragrances ... I'm on my third bottle which my mother thankfully supplied me at Christmas this year. Brit has a deep, warm vanilla amber scent, but it is not sweet. It is rich and oh-so-slightly woody, with a creamy undertone. It's fairly long-lasting too. If, like me, you're not big on florals, you'll appreciate Brit's spicy amber glow. I don't find it particularly strong, but then my tastes in fragrance run on the strong side (as long as it's not overpowering). I know I'll love this one for years to come.
