Customer Rating: Summary: Braun Contour excellent replacement for 5416 Comment: Years ago I bought a Braun 5416. Several screens and cutters later (replace every 6 months) the battery wouldn't hold a charge more than one or two shavings. The contour is the closest replica I could find: slightly larger, easily a week's worth of shaves, same weight, same close shave, and well under $100.
I have yet to reconcile paying over $100 for some self-cleaning, all-weather, stealth, night-fighting, super-shaver.
BTW, you can get the battery replaced on the 5416 at a cost of about $60 plus shipping and handling from authorized repair centers. But, for a few dollars more I get the new shaver.
