Customer Rating: Summary: Also works like a bug-spray Comment: If you wear a scent outdoors in Texas, you will undoubtedly attract mosquitos. But this product actually works to detract them! It smells fresh, woodsy, and clean and makes your skin feel soft. So whenever I attend an outdoor event or plan to spend much of the day outdoors, I spray some of this on and get a 2-for-1 bonus. It works as well as Off but you don't have to smell like a chemical plant. And it lasts all day. Customer Rating: Summary: Still love Skin so Soft... Comment: It's a classic. I dilute it and spray it on my dogs before they go out. It is an added layer of protection beyond the K9 Advantix and it makes them smell nice too. It's also great for my dry heels...It doesn't trigger my allergies, which is a very good thing. And, did I mention that it smells good? Customer Rating: Summary: Not a Mosquito Repellant Comment: I read something quite awhile ago that recommended Skin So Soft for mosquitoes. The information/article stated that soldiers exposed to the elements used this product and with so much success that they were requesting relatives to send it to them regularly. I tried it and it didn't work nearly as well for me. I live in Florida which has mosquitoes as big as jets especially if you live by the water, so I knew this would be a big challenge for any product. I had high expectations for this product and was extremely disappointed. It also failed to repel many other bugs during my time outdoors. As far as mosquito repellant goes, experts recommend to using repellant with DEET for effectiveness. Keep in mind there have been questions regarding the safety of DEET, so double check to make sure it's ok for you to use if you have health issues or very young children. I've used OFF! Deep Woods for the big bugs in my area and have had much better success. Customer Rating: Summary: Good Stuff Comment: My girlfriend has used this product for a long time. It makes her skin very soft and helps hold the moisture in too. Knowing this, I decided to try it and it works great on my "shaved" areas and keeps them soft as well. Also great lube for an electric shaver and keeps the skin from getting chapped. Now, if they would make it in a man's fragrance that would be even better!!! Customer Rating: Summary: My Review Comment: I bought Avon Skin So Soft for my dog because I heard it does a good job of keeping flies away from him. The flies are still there.
