Customer Rating: Summary: Fabullis product Comment: Obviously Kava Kava has long-ago been proven to be a very effective means to relax, and this is an excellent brand in my opinion for a cup. You've likely heard that too much Kava Kava could possibly damage your liver, if that's the case ( that you are considering same as a reason to not try Kava Kava ) and you currently have a health liver, then you might consider taking a good form of Milk Thistle extract ( Silymarin, NOW Foods brand is my preference ) 3 times a day, for a couple of months at a time perhaps bi-annually. Taking this simple precaution is a possible way to keep your liver safe enough to enjoy a couple cups or so of Kava Kava a week. Customer Rating: Summary: I love this tea. Comment: I was introduced to Kava or AWA drink in Maui. The first cup is like drinking liquid earth, but I developed a taste for it. It really works to help relax aching muscles. I can make my own AWA, but it is time consuming. I tried this tea and with the carob and cinnamon it is delicious. I love it. I buy it from Amazon in the larger quantity because it is cheaper, even with shipping, than buying in a health food or grocery store if they even have it. Customer Rating: Summary: Great product!!! Comment: I really like this tea!! I was surprised Amazon had it for such a low price. Customer Rating: Summary: Boiling water destroys the active ingredient Comment: Boiling water destroys the active ingredients called kavalactones.
I found the tea pleasant, but did not notice any of the calming effects described on the box.
I googled kava root and found several articles describing how the active ingredient is destroyed with hot water.
I am currently waiting on my cup of hot water to cool down to room temperate to try again. I figured I would try it this way instead of throwing away the box and buying the kava root and making my own the way described in the articles. Customer Rating: Summary: Stress free Comment: Excellent Tea . . .I have a cup in the morning and evening. Helps calm me down.
