The Wireless Presenter with Laser Pointer features all of the necessities that other competitive presenters offer. This presenter has the ability to page up, page down, esc slide show, darken screen and resume screen. It also has a laser pointer button and an on/off switch. It also includes an alt tab application switch. The long-range 2.4GHz wireless technology has up to a 30 ft. range, which is ideal for a large conference room. The preset RF connection enables true plug-and-play capability; no driver is required. Comment: My client has one and I borrowed it for my first presentation remote experience. It has all the basic functions and the price is one of the most affordable ones in the market. Great for beginners and my client still loves it. When he saw that I have advanced to a relatively more complicated one, he once again praised its simplicity.

Comment: I've used this presenter for two years now (same one), and have found it an invaluable aid to giving PowerPoint slides in lectures. I don't find it burns through batteries.
I have 2 gripes, however; the on/off switch is darn hard to use, and there's no convenient way to determine if it's on--or off--except by using it. My other issue is that I find the laser pointer pretty weak, so that it's barely useful.
When it first came out, I (and my colleagues) were enchanted. Now I'm in the market for one with a brighter laser pointer.
I do recommend it for an inexpensive work-horse; you won't know how you lived without it. But--you may find that you'll want to step up to a one with a more powerful pointer eventually, like I am...

Summary: returned defective device twice
Comment: I hate to give a one-star review, but I'm not able to comment much on the product because both I have received did not work. The laser pointer on the first one worked, and the device worked partially on only one out of four computers. It would only flip through slides backwards and slowly at that.
The second device did not work at all. The laser pointer did not even work on this one, even after checking to make sure that the batteries were installed properly.
Credit to Amazon's returns department. I had ordered the Targus pointer to give a presentation at professional meetings, and when the first one did not work, I assumed I would have to do without because a replacement would never arrive in time. I was pleasantly surprised when the second one arrived in about 48-72 hours, even though it did not work either.

Cons: Needs USB drive attached all the time with the computer during presentation. You may forget to remove it after the presentation.
