Customer Rating: Summary: No Problems here Comment: When I bought the La Crosse charger back in February I ordered a couple 4 packs. No leaking or any problems after multiple (10x) charges. just ordered 6 more packs Customer Rating: Summary: These batteries were showing signs of leaking before I ever charged them. Comment: These AAA Batteries leak and will explode after you charge them and they heat up, not explode all over the room but the inside of the battery bursts and you can see a DARK wet looking color towards the top of the battery were obviously the inside exploded. About 2 out of 4 were leaking already when I received them from Amazon. I got them for 2.99 for each 4 pack which was a great price, but they leak so I suggest you avoid these at all costs (that would suck ruing a expensive piece of electronic equipment with leaking batteries). I assume they all will end up leaking eventually once you charge them and they heat up a few times. I requested a replacement from Amazon and the second order had the same problem.
These AAA's are defective I determined. Also now I see another reviewer had the same problem with these batteries exploding.
I ordered the AA La Crosse Technology batteries also and I did not have this problem with them, it was just the La Crosse AAA batteries that have this problem. Customer Rating: Summary: Good working batteries Comment: I ordered three 4-packs. They all charged well and perform well. I don't have long-term information available, but to be able to get a 4-pack of NiMH batteries for less than a 4-pack of alkalines at the store, these definitely get my thumbs-up! If I can get more than one cycle out of them, they have earned their cost, though I expect far more recharges than that. Customer Rating: Summary: Big Charge Comment: Great to be able to recyle thru battery after battery without having to pay and pay. Customer Rating: Summary: Leaky batteries Comment: I purchased the BC-900 charger and got a $2.99/4-pack deal on these batteries. The charger came with 1 pack and I bought 4 more packs. 12 of the 20 batteries were leaking in the shipping box. At $2.99/pack and no response from the company they will be going straight to the recycling box. Don't buy these batteries even if they are free.
