Summary: A fine alternative to the "rain shower" low flow heads
Comment: I purchased two different <2 gpm showerheads in the last month in a quest to save a little money by cutting down my family's hot water usage. Speaking just to this one, the Delta, the first thing I did was cut the top off a 1-gallon water jug and used a stop watch to confirm the flow. It took about 35 seconds to fill up the jug on the low flow setting which works out to about 1.7gpm - real close to the published rating. On high flow, it took around 21 seconds, which calculates to 2.85gpm.
IMHO the low flow setting is sufficient for me, including rinsing the shampoo out of my hair. I have replaced a 4.0 and 3.0 gpm showerhead in my home now and I would say the quality of shower experience is about the same with the latest generation of "amplifying" showerheads as I felt I got from the old high flow heads. My only complaint is that the cheap showerheads never include teflon tape, you have to use your own (if you have it) or buy a roll for a couple bucks at the hardware store to ensure a leak-free connection.

This shower head looks good and performs well.
At first I was wondering if the little lever that controls the shower head was working, but it does. There are basically two positions, one for low flow and the other for medium flow.
The low flow feels "economical" as the water is just enough to take a shower (however you'll be happy your saving money on hot water).
The medium flow has reasonable power which is for people who like a strong shower or if you've had a muddy day outside and you really want to get cleaned up in a hurry.
A few minor observations is that the shower head can give off some strange noises that sounds like a dog moaning - I expect this to go away as sediment coats the inside of the shower head.
Another observation is that when you screw this shower head on your shower, there is no "knurled" surface to hold onto, so you really have to do it by hand. However, I only lightly screwed the shower head in, using new teflon tape on the threads and it didn't leak at all.
If you get really close to the shower you can feel all the little pulses of each shower head. Whatever amplifying this thing is doing is for real. The shower head really makes the most of the flow.
So, I would recommend this shower head without reservation. We will probably save money on hot water, and enjoy the great performance of this shower head.

Summary: Works but go with their 1.6 gpm version
Comment: I have tested many Alsons shower heads including this one that I picked up at lowes. (Alson makes this head and Delta puts their name on it)
To be honest I was stumped of how to adjust the flow. While they advertise 1.8 GPM it really is a 1.85-2,. gpm. The toggle did not seem to make much difference so I was not sure I had it set right or if it was broken. When I put a gauge in line I did find the pressure did change when it was at 1.85 which is having the toggle as in the photo. (pressure will increase with lower gpm) Turn it at right angles to be in 2.5 gpm mode. With my lower water pressure (62 psi) it was not making any difference by feel.
I order the 1 Alsons .6 GMP from Amazon.
The 1.6 GPM will give you a few more PSI and use less water.
The shower is very good and the 4 wide holes will make it less likely to clogg up.
It is a godo design (H20 Kinetics also known as Fluidics)
I do not think you will notice much difference between the two and why I recommend going with the 1.6 gpm if you like this design.
