Spotlight customer reviews:
Customer Rating: Summary: Great tool for skygazing Comment: The SkyScout is dead-on in finding requested stars and constellations (or identifying something up there). The guiding lights make finding things a snap. It seems to be routinely "slightly off" in finding Jupiter,though... Jupiter is towards the side of the viewfinder when the SkyScout thinks you have it centered. Other stars and "M32", however, are dead in the center when SkyScout thinks they should be. The green laser is great, and helps show others what you are looking at. This is a fun and useful gizmo! (SkyScout Does seem to suck the life out of the AA batteries quickly, though, but they are cheap or rechargeable) Customer Rating: Summary: Really fun to use Comment: My sisters and I bought this for our mother, who has always been a
stargazer. We tried it out in Los Angeles where, admittedly, there are few stars to see.
However, the Sky Scout did identify everything at which
we pointed. I think we could have spent hours looking up and learning about
the various stars and planets. The night sky tour is especially cool.
It is a really great device, and I recommend it. Minus one star for the price.
