Place this plug-and-play camera in your home, office, vacation home, or almost anywhere else you'd like to keep an eye on things, with no PC required at the location. The camera can be viewed and controlled from a standard Web browser, video display, or even a compatible cell phone or PDA, with no additional software required. All of the other required software is already inside the camera.With the built-in heat sensor, the camera can be set to record and/ or notify you by email when someone enters the room. It can even automatically move to a preset location when triggered, just in case someone was viewing a different part of the room.With the built-in Privacy mode, your privacy is protected by simply pressing a button. An indicator on the front of the camera turns red, and you know at a glance that the camera is now only accessible by you. The camera can also be set up to show a green light when the camera is being accessed.The camera can be set to automatically record video at certain times and certain speeds. In addition, with optional, external sensors attached to the camera, it's possible for the camera to email or record when triggered by motion, sound, light, timer, or even a push button. Summary: Best home network camera for the price!
Comment: I own two of the older model 311's and have recently installed one of these 111's in my house. the admin menu for this camera has more options then the 311's, which are nice. The sound feature works in Firefox, while the 311's don't. The quality of the images don't seem quite as sharp as the 311, but it's still ok for home surveillance. The 111 does MPEG video, which is better then the 311 options and means that the recorded images are very portable and readable by others. I've owned both Axis and Toshiba network cameras in the past and the Panasonic line is far better on numerous counts. The C111 Panasonic is a great choice for those looking for 1-way audio, Pan-Tilt and good recording software in the box. -Highly Recommended!

- Great image quality
- no that hard to setup
Cons:
- There is some sort of a problem with the camera built-in software, after accessing it remotley, it hangs and it needs to be restarted (by POWERING it OFF - ON ) this is very inconvenient where as the main purpose of getting this camera is to monitor home remotley.

Comment: So far I am very pleased with this device. Through research I learned that the Panasonic chip is one of the best video chips and I can back that up. It may not look very heavy duty but during installation, I dropped it about 7 feet onto concrete. I never would have guessed that it would continue to work but it did. The web server is very easy to configure and use. Since it uses an open video protocal, it works well with the IPhone (controls and video fit nicely onto screen), and I'm even able to easily diplay the video on a custom web page.

Comment: I have had this camera for 3 weeks now and it is great. I am using it as a petcam for my dogs while away from my house and so far it has been wonderful. The quality is great for the price of the camera, and the pan/tilt is very helpful. I set the camera up in about a hour, with the free website you get with the camera. You don't have to be technically savvy to set it up, it has detailed step by step instructions. Definitely worth the price!!!
