Comment: The Coffeeduck works great. I see a few reviews complain about lack of foam but I get the same or more foam than with pods. I no longer have to order pods or make a special trip for them because I can get a wide variety of ground coffee at any grocery.

Comment: I have a My Pod but was never satisfied by the coffee it produced or the way it interacted with my Senseo. It was watery, didn't work half the time, and I had to watch the machine like a hawk to determine when to turn it off, as it would just keep pushing water through. I decided to try my luck again with the Coffeeduck, and it is SO worth the money. It works wonderfully and produces a delicious cup of coffee that has a bit of froth, which I really forgot that I missed. You can just push the one or two cup button and it will automatically turn off when it's done. Bonus: no messing with little filters like the My Pod. You just rinse the two parts off, and that's it. I couldn't be happier. The Coffeeduck rocks!!

Comment: I love my Senseo coffee maker, It's fast and easy. The CoffeeDuck makes it more versital now. I like to roast my own beans. The coffeeduck does a great job of extracting a smooth strong cup if you grind the beans fine and fill it up full. It cleans up easy. It is a great addition to the Senseo.

Summary: Falls Apart & Makes Weak Coffee
Comment: I was expecting a high-quality item based on professional and consumer reviews, but was unfortunately let-down when I tried to make my first cup with it.
First, when 'properly' seated in the senseo machine, you have to apply a lot of extra pressure to close and lock it--enough pressure that I was nervous about damaging my machine from one use, let alone repeated daily use.
Second, the handle or duck-bill, fell off!!! The reason being that the thin aluminum 'cup' is crimped to hold it--which does a very poor job, well actually it doesn't do the job at all.
Third, the coffee came out EXTREMELY weak. The reason being that you really have to use the finest grounds possible for it to work very well, and standard 'ground coffee' just won't cut it. The senseo works by pressure rather than drip, so the more surface area you can provide, the better chance you have of getting a good cup...easier said than done, and how much time do I really want to spend grinding and re-grinding my coffee, just to make a cup that questionably damages my machine.
Sorry ducky, you sit in pieces in my cabinet, relegated only to be used if we get whole beans as a gift.
Save your money and try one of the competitors...or better yet, just buy the senseo pods--you can get pretty good deals here on amazon or on sale at your grocery store.

Summary: Best Idea! Love it
Comment: I love this little duck! It couldn't be easier. I read one review stating that there is resistance when closing the lid. Be sure to check that you are using a fine grind coffee, that you haven't over-filled the filter, and that there are no grounds on the rim of the duck. You should feel no resistance. Begin enjoying your favorite coffee!
