Summary: Lots of form, not so good function
Comment: This is a beautiful jewelry box, with gorgeous wood and solid construction. But there is a design flaw that is evident within seconds.
I was thrilled until I opened the swinging drawers on the left hand side. The picture shows the right side drawers swinging toward you, but the left side swings away from you. Arrrrgh!
So, if you keep this box on a vanity table, you have to get up and look over the top to see what's in the left side drawers. If you keep it on a dresser, you have to pick it up and turn it 90 degrees to use the left side. Obviously it won't work it you keep it up against a wall.
It might sound minor, but it's an inconvenience.
Luckily, I don't have that much jewelry, so I'll just use the left side to store things I don't wear very often. But if you're a 'jewelry gal' and looking to house your complete collection, be aware that 1/3 of this box is not really very handy.
